The Krishnamurti Study Centre Sahyadri, Pune welcomes you to its next series of Residential Study Workshops during the period June 2008 - March 2009. You are most welcome to participate in one or more workshops.
INTENT
These workshops are primarily to learn about ourselves, our own life, to explore the deeper significance of human existence. And this exploration is done in the light of J. Krishnamurti's 'Teachings'. There are no prequalifications necessary to participate in these workshops except that the person should be interested in learning about himself and is serious about his own life. A person who has read quite a lot of Krishnamurti and the person who has not read anything of Krishnamurti are both welcome to participate. For the persons who are already familiar with the 'Teachings' of J. Krishnamurti, these workshops offer a unique opportunity to study the 'Teachings' intensively along the various themes. For those who have not read Krishnamurti at all or who have only heard about him and would like to familiarise themselves with his 'Teachings', these workshops serve as a good introduction to Krishnamurti and are organised to give intense and extensive exposure to his 'Teachings'.
STUDY PROGRAMME
During the programme the participants are not rushed through a series of activities. The daily routine during the workshops is very relaxed giving ample time and leisure to each participant to be with himself/herself and to reflect upon his/her own life, to go for long walks, to observe nature and to interact with fellow participants. An atmosphere of peace and freedom pervades the whole proceeding of each workshop. The study includes silence session, Krishnamurti's video/audio talks, group dialogues, nature walks and individual study periods. The whole programme takes place in English except for workshops organised in regional languages. Special study material corresponding to respective themes along with other necessary stationery is given to the participants.
