Workshop/Retreat :: February 2019

The Krishnamurti Study Center, Sahyadri is pleased to announce a retreat/workshop from February 24th to 28th 2019. We cordially invite you to participate in it. The intention of this Retreat/Workshop is to create an ambience that would enable the participants to enter into a spirit of serious enquiry.
Details are given below:

  • Theme : What is holistic living?

"Can we deal with life as a whole, which is the inner as well as the outer? - not the intellectualconcept, and another concept, not dividing consciousness into the intellect, the emotions, and so on, but the whole thing, the conscious as well the unconsious. Because if we don't take it as a whole, but break it up, and then try to solve the problems which each broken part or fragment creates, there is no end to it. We live in fragment. I am one thing at the office, I am another thing in the family, and I am totally another thing when I am by myself, or in the bus, or walking in the woods.
Is it possible to look at this whole as a whole, not as fragment dealing with each other separately? But you see, we are not concerned that our life is fragmentary. During working hours I am a scientist, a professor, a biologist, a businessman, a technician, and I am something else the rest of the time. We live that way, in compartment. First I have to realize the way I live, not whether or not it is difficult to look at life as a whole."
-From a Talk by J Krishnamurti, London England, 1965.
